and I'm back... by popular demand

Well after much thought and contemplation of what I should grace my public with... I decided I would just try to sum up all of what has happened the last several weeks.

To begin... I had mentioned that classes had started, and the classes I am taking are:
Zoology, General Chemistry, Core 100(study of the liberal arts),  College Writing, Oral Communication.

Most of those classes I am doing really well in, and nothing really exciting has happened in them, minus one.

The Core 100 class is basically a class to get you involved with other freshman and basically teach you how to become a better person.  One exciting thing with this class is we got to go a farm for a weekend.  While at the farm we did many, many things, such as kill a chicken (cut off its head, gut it, pluck the feathers... that jazz) so we could cook it later to eat.  We also got to make apple cider, bread, ice cream, and some other things to that I know longer remember.   We also got to do some blacksmithing in where I made an "S-hook" and we did some wood carving... and I have a sweet letter opener.

So yeah... also a lot of things with sports have been going on, and for that I'll talk briefly about.  We've run 3 meets so far this year, and one, or rather my first actual 8km (4.98 miles) race was run at michigan state university.  This was a really awesome race, mainly because I got to watch the really fast guys from michigan and msu run (from far behind).  We also had another race in lansing... and I did really really well in.. and yeah pretty exciting...

Well as things happen I'll try to post sooner since I now know people are reading.  until then, I'll see you next time.

on the road again... I just can't wait to get back on the road again...

So.. I'm home for the weekend... or until Monday morning when I go back to school... and last week at Cross Country camp was really exciting....

Not sure exactly why... except just getting to meet alot of new people and getting to know other people better... but the running wasn't that exciting... if someone is wondering whyI'm still doing it then... I'm in it for the chicks... that I still have yet to find over the last 6 years... but hey... 7th time's a charm....

So yeah... I start classes on Thursday and froshman orientation starts on Monday... so I would just like to ask you people... to pray for me... that I won't get nervous... or be a stupid freshman and not manage my time well... thanks very much for that...

Well I'll try to update again... after school starts... and let you all know how exciting all my classes are and are going to be!!!  until then... I'll see you next time...

finally at school... well until today...

So, yesterday we arrived here at the richly populated Spring Arbor campus, and my parents, brother, and I unloaded all of our stuff into our rooms, except for my footon which hopefully I'll be able to get next week, and then my mom, dad, nathan, Steve (someone living on the same floor as I), and myself all played phase 10... which I won... woohoo start college on high note (not literally high).. then my roommate got here and we decided where we were putting out furniture and such... maybe if I had a digital camera or cared, I'd put some pictures on here... but its kinda a boring place right now...

But anyway, at 2 today we are leaving for camp, and we won't get back till Friday, and then I have until Monday to hopefully spice this room up a bit... so.. yeah... I guess thats all I really have to say, I don't start class for over a week still... so I can't really talk about them... oh, I forgot one excellent thing that happened... one of the assistant coaches had a barbecue last night for all the people on the team that came up early... so that was really cool... and good food...

So... no one has really said any good quotes or anything... but I guess I can leave you with some more I've found along my travels... (hopefully they come out right this time.)

"Egotist: a person more interested in himself than in me."

- Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914)

"If women didn't exist, all the money in the world would have no meaning."

- Aristotle Onassis (1906-1975)

"Anything that is too stupid to be spoken is sung."

- Voltaire (1694-1778)

"You can get more with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone."

- Al Capone (1899-1947)

"Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I'm not there, I go to work."

- Robert Orben

Alright... that is good for now... but seriously you must take this quote in consideration... and i want you to honestly tell me how many times you have thought this... (I did jsut the other night with my stupid @%$#![all the characters are random... there was no real @#%$! said or thought] computer...)... so let me know...

"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." -  Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956)
